Submit to Octopus

____________________________________________________________

Octopus only reads submissions in the 8th month (August) of the year. Submissions sent at any other time won’t be thrown out, but it probably won’t be read until August. In or near August, send a friendly number of poems for consideration through one MS word attachment. Introduce yourself to us in the body of the email and feel free to include a list of previous publications, if any.

If you have already published work in a previous issue of Octopus and wish to submit more work in a non-August month, go ahead.

Octopus does consider timely critical work (reviews, interviews, essays, etc) year round.

Send to submit@octopusmagazine.com

All rights revert to the authors upon publication in Octopus, and the works can then be subsequently published, though we ask that Octopus get its props as the place of initial publication. We'll accept simultaneous submissions, just let us know if it is accepted elsewhere. We do not consider previously published work.
