Moonlit Night in the Sky
(from the “Lee Valley Poems”)
fifteen hours of moon on my left
always on my left the inner
body of the airplane’s wing greets the darkness
fifteen ovals that have been stretched out
unconnected to time look
back
your pure snow white fills my view
rising now parting
is a rare flower in full bloom
suck that little bell with a mounting echo
the moonlight covers me
sleep after sex covers the clouds
where is the world
nobody flies out of this night
oh don’t stop
don’t
drop one thread of river valley
silver maintain an even speed
this is death
